Robotics Mechanical Design Engineer

FIRST Robotics Team | Oct 2019 – Present

Co-led structural manufacturing under aggressive timelines to build intricate, large-scale mobile robots compliant with precise technical rulebooks. Utilized SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Blender to blueprint structures down to a tolerance of 1/1000th of an inch. Executed manual and automated machining, structural welding, circuit wiring, and custom 3D printing, while incorporating Java, Python, and C++ codebases for full remote-control stability.

Autonomous Mobile Device (Engineering Design)

University of Guelph | Fall 2022 – 2023

Collaborated in a 5-person engineering team to design and manufacture an autonomous mechanical vehicle capable of negotiating rugged terrain to accurately launch objects via an integrated magnetic projectile system. Programmed embedded firmware layouts in C++ utilizing Arduinos. Achieved the highest overall manufacturing and performance evaluation score out of several hundred competing engineering teams.
